RYAN HOWARD K WATCH

May 08, 2008 in Phillies

Ryan Howard currently holds baseball’s single season strikeout record with 199 in 2007.  Fantastic, Ryan.  Great discipline at the plate you’ve got going on. After watching Howard do his best Stevie Wonder impersonation at the plate last night (three more whiffs), it is only fitting that City of Pain starts recognizing his achievements, both past, present, and future.  No player has ever hit 200 in a season, and this guy is certainly well on his way. Enjoy that ten million dollar contract.  You can do it Ryan!

MLB Single Season record: 199
Ryan Howard’s 2008 total: 50
Ryan Howard’s 2008 projection: 231
Chance of Ryan Howard striking out: 41%
Last Game: 0-4, 3 Ks

Strikeouts needed for a new record: 150
