Javon Walker Would Be Interesting
so someone bothered to tell derrick gunn that javon walker’s probably going to cut by the broncos in the near future (march 4) since he’s got a ridiculous roster bonus (who writes these contracts? i mean really. why do agents want clauses that guarantee that their client will be cut?). and you know, i’m excited for javon walker like a gay man is excited for the project runway finale next week.
and if memory serves, the birds smelled his musk last night he was coming off an injury and looking for some cash. honestly, he’s freaking perfect for the eagles. he’s a big boy (6’3″, 215lbs…and look he can jump up and fight for a ball), he’s intimately familiar with the west coast offense from his time with that ruddy walrus and that beady-eyed piece of rawhide, and he’s got a chip on his shoulder (again).
if i were the eagles, i’d give him a five year deal that’s actually a two year deal (or maybe even the stallworth special, a one year deal) and send him to arizona to start bonding with donnie. according to rotoworld, we’d probably be up against the boys, skins and bucs. i’d say our situation is the best fit (best qb where javon can be the alpha male…sorry kevin curtis).
so let’s go birds. make a splash. get gibril wilson tomorrow and get javon walker on tuesday. or hell, trade something to denver and try and get him early. there’s no time to f around this year.
