the defense has been consistently good (inconsistently so however. why were thomas jones’ cutbacks repeatedly successful? my quick take when i was watching: jevon kearse wanted to “make something happen” and lost contain. grow up dude. you aren’t the freak. you’re mr. kearse. act like it and stay in your damn gap.) just imagine getting two pro bowlers back…
the special teams are maddening. a bad coverage. a shitty punt. david akers doesn’t like jersey (anyone else ready to spend a pick on a kicker?) but then reno makes a nice return. and the special teams end up being a wash.
