Winds Of Change – Sixers

“Hey Sam, how many points you gonna score tonight?”

Yep, it has happened again. No, Greg Lewis didn’t fail his sixth straight 4th grade reading exam….There is a team in the NBA that seems to change jerseys every four years with no tangible change in their on-court performance. No, we’re not talking about the Toronto Raptors or New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets….we’re talking about your 2007-08 Philadelphia 76ers.

I’ve been screaming for years for the clowns that run the Sixers to change the road jerseys back to the red. And they finally did it. I mean look at them….you can just envision this team winning at least two more meaningless game simply from this change. If we could only figure out how to erase Samual Dalembert from planet earth I may push the total to four extra meaningless wins. I was never a fan of the blue jerseys they have donned since the days of Toni Kukoc and I certainly believe they contributed to the horrendous decision making of Billy King when it came to dreaming up contracts that have strapped this franchise for the past seven years. Shit, I actually believe wearing the blue jerseys threw Dalembert off because he thought he was still playing at Seton Hall. That may or may not have contributed to his terrible performances night after night. Kudos to the Sixers for returning to the glory days and taking the first step towards becoming a force once again. And if you are against the change, my inside source tells me they will return to these in 2012:
