You put the Vuk patch on, you dedicate this season to one of the toughest, grittiest, passionite Phillies to ever wear the “P”, and this is what you give him? THIS IS WHAT YOU GIVE HIM?
Disgraceful. We tried to cheer them on as much as we could Vuk, and we know you gave it your best from the other side. But it’s time for all of us to say goodbye.

so if you told me that a) we were facing a starter with a 19.06 era b) he lasted two innings c) our first three batters reached base d) we turned a triple play, i would have said, hot damn, we must be winning.
wrong.
if you told me at the beginning of the season, that a) we would have three players who are legit mvp candidates b) people were cheering pat burrell c) aaron rowand was making his millions with a career year d) our hawaiian was actually flying, i would have said, wow, there’s no way we’re not making the playoffs.
